JobSafari ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you register as a job seeker, we also collect profile information including your work experience, skills, and CV. If you register as an employer, we collect company information and job posting details.
When you use JobSafari, we automatically collect usage data such as pages visited, search queries, and browser information for the purpose of improving our service.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide and improve our services, match you with relevant job opportunities, send you job alerts (if you opt in), process job applications, and communicate with you about your account.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your CV or personal details with employers without your explicit action (applying to a job).
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time, which will remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days. Job application records may be retained for up to 6 months for dispute resolution purposes.
Cookies
JobSafari uses cookies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyse usage patterns. We use essential cookies (required for the service to work) and analytics cookies (which you can opt out of). We do not use advertising cookies.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@jobsafari.lk.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit and encryption at rest. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plaintext. We conduct regular security reviews.
